      June 2010 - Summer Edition

Dear %BASIC:FIRSTNAME% %BASIC:SECONDNAME%,

JANUARY 2012…AROUND THE BEND

I wanted to take a minute to focus in this issue (only for a moment since I’m sure you have heard enough about the CFC Legislation), but as per the Legislation, any sites that you manage that have a chiller that uses a CFC based refrigerant (ie. R11), will no longer be able to run these machines after December 31st, 2011…..what that means is that you really only have two  cooling seasons left (summer of 2010, and the summer of 2011).  Ambient has been busy this year replacing many of these CFC based chillers.

It stands to reason that as we approach 2011/12, prices will go up……..

’the laws of ‘supply and demand’.  I understand that human nature tells us to wait….but the trend that we see is increasing prices, and of course, the HST which will come into effect in July of 2010.  Deliveries will become longer, and the trades that do these kinds of retrofits (ie. crane operators, pipefitting, and electricians) will become increasing busy and will of course be able to demand a premium for their services.
